Soo…a little update on life.

I have accomplished another one of my goals for this year….I GRADUATED!!!! WOOHOO!!! I think it will begin to sink in more once I get my boards behind me. Take those the beginning of January, hopefully…waiting to get the letter with dates to sign up for.

I finished up my first 6 weeks of training for the Piedmont Women’s Center and have been doing shadowing for the past 3 weeks at the center. It has been such a neat experience, so far. I have learned a lot already, especially about the power of the Holy Spirit.

The lady that I have been shadowing the most is wonderful. She has taught me so much about letting the Spirit working through me and relying on His power, not mine. She starts the day confessing to the Lord any sins that she may have so that she can be a clean vessel for God to use and prays for each of the women and girls that may come in, that He might prepare their hearts. And you know what makes it so neat, most everyone that I have seen come in is so open to hearing the gospel!! Each counseling session includes a time where we ask if we can share with them a booklet called “Steps of Peace with God” which is just the plan of salvation. Each time she asks them, I cringe. I feel like they will say no; that they are too busy or don’t want to sit through someone going through the booklet, but they don’t. And, while they may not make the decision to ask Christ into their hearts that day, a seed of hope has hopefully been planted in their heart. That is one thing that I love about the center…each time the woman comes in, she has to make an appt, which means that each time she comes in there is the opportunity for the gospel to be presented!! Today we had two hispanic girls come to Christ and we give God the glory!!

Let’s see, what else has been going on???

Well, pretty much just enjoying life right now while it isn’t crazy busy with school and not filled with a job yet. Enjoying time with my family and friends that I feel like I wasn’t able to do real well while burdened with school work.

SO excited about it being December because it means that the Christmas season is here…LOVE this time of the year!! As cliche’ as it may sound, I’m taking the time to remember the “reason for the season…”

…The miracle of Jesus’ birth, the hope that it brings to all, and the love of our Heavenly Father.
